Privacy Policy
BeaderDesk is a bead pattern design application for makers and pattern sellers. It helps users create bead patterns, save projects, manage bead colours and inventory, read patterns, and prepare printable or seller-ready pattern exports.
1. Information we collect
We collect information needed to provide and protect the BeaderDesk service, including:
- Account information such as name, email address, and sign-in method.
- Saved project data such as bead patterns, palettes, inventory entries, and export settings.
- Subscription and billing status needed to unlock plan features.
- Basic technical information such as browser, device, security logs, and error diagnostics.
2. Google OAuth services and scope inventory
Google Sign-In is optional. BeaderDesk uses Google OAuth API Services only to provide secure account authentication and account creation. When you choose to sign in using your Google Account, we request only the minimum basic profile scopes needed for login:
openid— used to verify your identity through Google's authentication system.-
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email— used to receive your primary Google Account email address so we can uniquely identify your BeaderDesk account, send critical administrative messages, and keep your workspace connected to the correct user. -
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile— used to receive basic profile information such as your name and, if provided by Google, profile picture URL. This is used only to personalize your private dashboard and display your identity within the workspace.
We do not request access to your wider Google account data, contacts, storage files, email, calendar, or documents.
3. How we use Google Sign-In data
Information collected through Google Sign-In is used strictly to provide, maintain, and protect the core features of BeaderDesk. Specifically, it is used to:
- Authenticate your identity during login sessions.
- Maintain your user session and securely load your saved projects, inventory logs, settings, and designs.
- Prevent unauthorized access, account duplication, abuse, fraud, or malicious use of the service.
- Respond to your direct support requests about your account.
4. Google data we do not access
BeaderDesk does not receive, store, or process your Google password. BeaderDesk does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or any other Google services. We do not request, read, edit, store, or share files, emails, calendars, contacts, or private content from your Google account.
5. Google data sharing, advertising, and Limited Use
BeaderDesk implements a strict data-isolation policy for Google user data:
- No sale of Google data — we do not sell, rent, trade, lease, or otherwise commercialize your Google user data.
- No data brokers — we do not share Google user data with third-party data brokers, people-search services, or similar data marketplaces.
- No advertising use — Google user data is never used, processed, or transferred for serving advertisements, building marketing profiles, targeted ads, retargeting, or remarketing.
- No unnecessary human review — employees or contractors do not access raw Google profile data except when required for security investigations, legal compliance, or a direct support request from you.
BeaderDesk's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
6. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Sign you in and keep your account secure.
- Save and sync your bead pattern projects.
- Provide editor, reader, inventory, shopping list, and export features.
- Process subscription status and plan entitlements.
- Respond to support requests and improve reliability.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate BeaderDesk, such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing providers. These providers may process data only as needed to provide their services to BeaderDesk.
8. Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. BeaderDesk does not store full credit card numbers. Stripe may collect and process payment information according to its own privacy policy and payment security practices.
9. Cookies and analytics
BeaderDesk uses essential cookies or local storage where needed for account sign-in, security, remembered settings, and app functionality. Optional analytics on public pages are used only when enabled and where consent requirements are met. Read the Cookie Policy for more detail.
10. Data retention, Google access revocation, and deletion
We keep account and project data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can revoke BeaderDesk's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account Security permissions.
You can request deletion of your account, Google email address, Google profile details, or other personal data from active database systems by contacting [email protected]. We acknowledge deletion requests within 72 hours and complete deletion from active systems within 30 days unless retention is required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
11. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data. Depending on your location, you may also have the right to object to processing, restrict processing, or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
